IBCF Hybrid Throwdown II





Log Clean and Press (Last Man/Woman Standing)

Each Log will begin Empty and the athlete will have 60 seconds to clean and press 1 Rep. You have as many attempts as you need in that 60 seconds.

The log will increase in weight after each athlete in the division has cycled through. If the athlete is unable to clean and press the weight in the allotted time, the athlete is done and will not move on in this event.

RX Men: 13" Log Starts @145lbs with 20lb Jumps

RX Women: 10" Log Starts @80lbs with 10lb Jumps

Scaled/Masters Men: 10" Log Starts @80lbs with 20lb Jumps

Scaled/Masters Women: 10" Log Starts @60lbs with 10lb Jumps

As you can see, we WILL be having a masters division for athletes 45 and up. Each division will be capped at 10, so stay tuned for more information on when registration will be open!

EVENT # 2: 

10-8-6-4-2 Deadlift and Shoulder to Overhead with Farmers in between movements

-RX and Masters will use an Axle Bar for the Deadlift and everyone will use a regular barbell for Shoulder to Overhead. Unless it says KB, you will be using Farmers handles

- The Bar for Deadlift and the bar for Shoulder to Overhead will be set 30 Feet Apart. The athlete will start on deadlifts, knock out 10 reps, farmers carry to the other bar for shoulder to overhead, knock out 10 reps, and then farmers back to start on their set of 8 deadlifts. You will continue this all the way down to 2, after your set of 2 shoulder to overhead the athlete will farmers carry back to the deadlift bar to complete the workout. Your time will not stop until after the last farmers carry.

60 second Max Reps on Back Squats:

This workout is pretty straight forward. You have 60 seconds to do as many reps as possible. The only catch is, RX and masters will use specialty bars. 
The time will begin as soon as the athlete descends for their first rep. Each rep must be at the very least to parallel, otherwise it's a no rep and it won't count.
Each athlete may have their own preferred spotter, but if the spotter is required to finish a rep, the rep will not count and the athlete is done. 
If at any time the athlete must rack the bar, the athlete is done and may not continue on this workout.

IBCF Hybrid Throwdown - CrossFit/Strongman Hybrid Competition

This is an exciting, Hybrid competition that combines CrossFit, Strongman, and a hint of power-lifting into a one-day event! We are offering individual (RX and Scaled), team (MM or FF), categories. No previous competition experience required, the movement standards will be covered during the athlete meeting.

Pac West Spartan Race 2015



Location: Washougal MX Park | 40205 NE Borin Rd, Washougal, Washington 98671

Distance: 4+ miles.

Start Times: Starting at 7:30am, waves of 250 athletes will be released every 15 minutes across 3 groups (Elite, Morning, and Afternoon). We will know our group start time 10 days before the event. 

Parking: $10 per car, cash only. Please feel free to use our Facebook wall to set up carpooling!

Spectators: $20 online. $25 onsite (CASH ONLY).

Kids Race: Heats start at 10am. $25 online. $30 onsite (CASH ONLY).

WarFighter Fitness Community Fundraiser

Nautilus Plus OC Gym & Inner Beast CrossFit are teaming up to host a CrossFit Workout & Zumba Party to raise awareness & funding to launch the WarFighter fitness program! 

WarFighter Fitness will launch its first 90 day group fitness program this June! That entails personal training & fitness events for our wounded warriors.

Rugged Maniac 5K Obstacle Race

What is Rugged Maniac?  It's one of the largest obstacle races in the country, with 20 events coast-to-coast.  Our courses feature 25+ epic obstacles designed to push runners to their limits!  These aren't the pop-up kiddie obstacles you'll see at other races.  Instead, our runners climb towers of stacked shipping containers, rocket down a 100’ water slide, navigate underground tunnels of mud, jump over fire and face a host of other challenges during this day-long adventure!

The Festivus Games

What: Novice and Intermediate CrossFit Competition

Who: Beginner and Intermediate CrossFit athletes (No advanced athletes)

Where: CrossFit Paleo Fit Box 16536 SE 362nd Dr. Sandy, Oregon

When: Saturday April 19th, 9 AM

The first Festivus competition was held on April 30th. The concept was simple yet long overdue. A fitness competition designed for novice and intermediate athletes only. No fire-breather types allowed. Since these people make up 95% of athletes it made sense to have a competition designed for only them.

The idea is that there would be no scaling. No athlete whether 6 months in or brand new would need to scale any of the events. This competition was to be about capacity more than a high degree of skill. Everyone can row…just how fast? Everyone could deadlift..just how much?
